International Nurses Day

International Nurses Day is celebrated on May 12 every year around the world. It is the anniversary of the birth of Florence Nightingale, the founder of modern nursing. The International Council of Nurses (ICN) celebrates this day every year since 1965. The ICN commemorates this important day with the production and distribution of the International Nurses’ Day (IND) Kit, which contains educational and public information for use by nurses around the world.
